About Altimira

PSO Palace is run by Aleron Ives and hosted by BlueCrab as a part of Sylverant. Altimira is the official ship of PSO Palace and contains custom content for Dreamcast and PC (V2), as well as for GameCube and Xbox (V3) players. This content includes both modifications to official Sega quests, as well as new quests I've created over the years.

The overall goal of my content is to create a balance between the V2 and V3 PSO experience. This includes porting features from V3, such as Garon's Shop, back to V2, as well as bringing elements of V2 forward to V3, such as the Super Hard difficulty setting.

In the early days when PSO was still new, we had a cohesive group of dedicated players that made it easy to spread information by word of mouth. Old players were able to help new players learn the ropes and teach them tips and tricks, as well as secrets.

The community has become more fragmented since then, and information is more easily lost from the players' collective memory as people come and go. Furthermore, after more than a decade of PSO development and the various forum threads that went with it, it's become difficult for people to find information about the features Altimira offers. This section exists to consolidate that information so new players can more easily discover what sets Sylverant apart from other PSO servers.
